North Branch Heritage Youth Sojourn

2nd Annual Heritage Youth Sojourn (2017):
Youth on the River
Endless Mountains Heritage Region

Overview: We would like to cordially invite you to join the 2017 Heritage Youth Sojourn. This amazing trip will be hosted by the Endless Mountain Heritage Region. The trip will include students, teachers, and others from environmental and historical agencies from around the region. This trip is available for 5 students and one or two teachers from each high school in northeast PA. Students and teachers/chaperones should have an interest in the outdoors, in camping and kayaking, and in learning about their history, environment, and being a steward of the river. The goal of this trip is to educate students and educators from around the area about the environment, as well as its stewardship, ecology, wildlife, camping, kayaking, history and so much more. We will be staying in tents or rustic cabins, and students and teachers/chaperones need their own sleeping bags and camping gear. At the end of this three-day, two-night excursion, students will collaborate with each other to create a presentation for the community about their experiences and what they have learned.
